Today was the launch of Tesco's Thai fruit range held at the 24 hour Earl's Court branch. We were asked to perform Hanuman Jub Nang as an opening for the event.

So now everyone within the UK can now enjoy Thailand's famous sticky rice with mango (Kao Niew Mamuang) by popping round to your local Tesco!

Songkran at Suda, Patara, Thai Thai and Thai Square

Today instead of the usual number of 3 restaurants we perform at, Suda held an event to promote Songkran in the late afternoon before we split and made our way to the other restaurants. We performed a medley of 3 performances at Suda, the first was drum dance, which then lead in to the newly created fan dance and ended with a dance we haven't performed in quite a long time, Gratop Mai. For those who don't know, Gratop Mai consists of dancers walking and running in and out of large snapping bamboo sticks.

After Suda, we then made our separate ways to Patara on Maddox Street, Thai Square on Shaftsbury Avenue and Thai Thai on Old Street.

Songkran at Elephant Royale, Yum Yum and Thai orchid

It's that time of the year again where Thai restaurants across the country are celebrating Thai New year and just like last year, Chang Beer is promoting this.

Today we split up into 3 groups to dance at 3 different restaurants. The group I was in journeyed to Elephant Royale located in the Docklands, Isle of Dogs. The other two groups made their way to Yum Yum, located in Stoke Newington, and Thai Orchid in Maidenhead.

Elephant Royale is located on Westferry Road, nicely situated just be the River Thames giving diners there a gorgeous view whilst enjoying their food. We performed Hanumarn Jub Nang Benjakai followed up with a new and modern version of the fan dance recently created by one of our teachers Jirakarn (Kru Ple). The night ended with another new and recently created dance called Deed Hai, which was created by Dorawan (Kru Nong)
